Have you ever thought about doing an equine-based course to achieve a British Horse Society (BHS) qualification in Horse Care, but decided it was too expensive or time consuming?

Are you thinking of buying a horse or pony but want to ensure you have all the knowledge to be able to properly care for it?

Do you simply want to learn more about horses and ponies?

We offer a series of lessons, aimed at adults, that will teach you all about horses/ponies and their basic care requirements. You don’t have to have any previous knowledge or experience of horses or ponies, just an interest in our 4-legged pals!

Our course follows the syllabus of the British Horse Society (BHS) Horse Owner Certificate.  For those who wish to achieve a formal qualification, we will be holding regular BHS Horse Owner exams.

Handouts are given out in all lessons to help with at-home learning and revision.  A list of recommended reading material, that may be helpful to those wishing to further their knowledge, is also be made available.

Lessons are held once a week, and last for approximately 1 hour.

The cost of each lesson is only £5.00 per person (+ family discounts available).

The cost of the exams, for each of the four levels, is only £40.00 per person per exam.  This includes the cost of the BHS moderation, and the issuing of a BHS Certificate for successful candidates.

The BHS Horse Owner Courses are started on an ad-hoc basis, according to interest.
